Remember Remember the Fifth of November . . .

. . . the gunpowder treason and plot! Happy Guy Fawkes Day everyone! I know of no reason why the Gunpowder treason shall ever be forgot!

Guy Fawkes belonged to a group of Catholic Restorationists and was notoriously apart of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605. Fawkes is notorious for his involvement in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. He was probably placed in charge of executing the plot because of his military and explosives experience. The plot, masterminded by Robert Catesby, was an attempt by a group of religious conspirators to kill King James I of England, his family, and most of the aristocracy, by blowing up the House of Lords in the Palace of Westminster during the State Opening of Parliament. His name is the reason that the word "guy" refers to any man or a non-descriptive someone. The character V from the graphic novel "V for Vendetta" wears a Guy Fawkes mask and waxes poetic about people overthrowing unjust rulers.

So with that Happy Guy Fawkes Day! And also please don't do anything stupid like trying to blow up a government building or something.
